BEHIND THE NAME

Acknowledging the significance of a mother’s role on their daughters wedding day and in life, the brand name is a  fusion of Marie; meaning ‘drop of the sea’ and her mother Anastasia’s names. The connection of a bride and her mother-figure is illustrated through the passing down and careful selection of jewellery and accessories, with Anastasia Marie being an integral part of this intimate process.

Anastasia Marie designs all of their jewellery to showcase understated elegance, embodying the iridescent detailing and dreamy landscapes found in the Whitsunday Islands.   

 

BRAND IDENTITY DIRECTION

Contrasting font weight and repetitive waves have been used throughout the typography of the Primary Logo to convey a sense of fluidity and femininity, whilst reinforcing the coastal destination of the brand. The accompanying illustrations pay homage to Marie’s name meaning ‘drop of the sea’, and are filled with a delicate design inspired by the patterns on Grecian tiles and the organic shapes used throughout Anastasia Marie’s jewellery and accessories.

Overall, the design decisions made throughout the branding process were chosen to position Anastasia Marie as an elegant yet contemporary brand inspired by the beautiful, serene backdrop of the Whitsunday Islands.
